The determination of global governments and enterprises in the carbon neutral competition
"Carbon neutrality" is by no means a slogan, and curbing global warming is not an appeal that has only appeared in recent years! In fact, scientists realized many years ago that global warming would do great harm to human beings. After years of efforts by governments and the scientific community, now "carbon neutrality" and "net zero emission" have become the global consensus.
In 1988, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established, and more than 3,000 scientists all over the world began to systematically make scientific assessments of global climate change. Until the adoption of the Glasgow Climate Convention by COP26 in 2021, for more than 30 years, governments, regions and various organizations have made numerous efforts, and the global people's awareness of climate change is gradually increasing.
In order to implement the "net zero" goal, rather than stay in the slogan stage, governments have formulated laws, policies and specific paths to achieve "carbon neutrality". At present, countries accounting for 90% of global GDP and 88% of global carbon emissions are gradually realizing carbon neutrality. In the 14th Five Year Plan in March 2021, "carbon peaking, carbon neutralization" was written into important national policy documents, which shows China's ambition and determination in curbing global warming.
It is not only the governments of all countries that are taking action, but also the enterprises all over the world have joined in the competition and set their own carbon neutral targets.
"Carbon neutrality" is a global irreversible torrent, in which many fields of the global economy will be reconstructed. As individuals and enterprises, only by following this trend can they achieve sustainable development. We will also invest research and development funds in the field of "carbon neutrality", actively participate in the "net zero competition", and hope to contribute to the "3060" goal with all colleagues.
